Good to know. I inherited several of these lacy items and have no idea what they are. I will hunt up some more of them as I can and post them.

Definitely hand made. Duchesse bobbin lace, probably late 19th to early 20th c. Very simple, much more simple than most of the Durchesse that I have seen. This suggests it might be closer to the latter date. Duchesse was usually made in linen thread, not silk.
