For those who love hand made lace.
Can any of you tell what size thread the lady is using in this video? She doesn't specify anywhere that I've been able to find.

It is impossible to know from a video, or a photo, what size thread someone is using. The differences in thickness are very small, and these small differences produce very different results. I looked at the patterns from your 2nd url. These are very basic patterns for learning the stitches. For these, it doesn't matter that much if your thread size isn't a perfect match for the thread you use. It is a little thin or a tiny bit too thick it won't really matter. My guess is that it is something like #40 cordonnet crochet cotton, or #60 or #80. I would suggest acquiring all 3 of those sizes, so you have a variety of thicknesses on hand for working samples.
Some time ago I posted this on this site. It involves measuring how many spaces per 2 inches on the footside, and the thread size that matches that.
