I just received the message below, and it looks like spam to me. Can you inform me about mr. James Pollard? Thanks!
How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) for the full details. Have a nice day Thanks God bless.
Thanks for the warm welcome, Lorelei. So glad I stumbled upon this site. I've been thread crocheting for over 50 years. I love all forms of lace and have dabbled in many other forms; but I am always interested in learning more. I lost all of my tools and the pieces I made over the past 50 years in the recent Camp Fire and looking forward to jumping in again. Seems like a great site with lots of people, ideas, and support.
Hi Lorelei! Thanks for your welcome! You may remember me from Needle Lace Talk, which is where my work is showcased.
I've joined this site because of my growing interest in identifying types of lace, even those I don't make. I recently had the opportunity to get some close-up pictures of antique laces--some machine made (early Leavers loom work) and some handmade (a really interesting embroidered piece simulating gros point, but using appliqued linen!)--and I was able to identify them, but when it came to the bobbin lace, I had little to say because I don't know about that form of the art.
I hope to learn a lot here, and find helpful people when I have questions!
