LaceNews has started yet another activity - and it's not just a standard lace links page - http://pinterest.com/LaceNews/boards/. I'm using Pinterest to identify internet sites, each with a photo, web pointer, and brief description. After only 4 days of working with this I have 29 'boards', or topic categories, and 309 pins representing individual web sites.  More are coming every day.  Pinterest account holders (a free service) can also follow the boards and add comments to the pins.  A detailed writeup can be found at http://tinyurl.com/l4afccu.

This is a new way to do links, and so far is working very well. It provides more information, and is easier to maintain than a standard link page.

Laurie:  I thought Annick Staes had a web site but I couldn't find it either.  Apparently I'm remembering it wrong.

I just pinned both discussion groups.

I added a page for Anneke Reijs, but can't find an internet sit for Annick Staes. Does anyone have a suggestion?

You might also want to add these 2 lace discussion groups.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/bobbinlacemakers/   general, lots of activity recently

https://www.facebook.com/groups/ilmondodimariabissacco/   This one frequently has photos of contemporary bobbin art lace, and other modern work.  Also sometimes magnificent antique laces from exhibitions.

GOOD JOB, Laurie!  This is really useful.

Some to add, to the individual lacemakers page:  Annick Staes, she has booklets with Flanders, Binche, Valenciennes bobbin lace patterns.

Anneke Reijs, has booklets with Withof bobbin lace instructions, in English

To teaching sites:  http://sitakrajka.blogspot.com/    Even though her instructions are in Czech, her diagrams are very good, and her patterns are well thought out.  Lessons on basic needle lace, Mediterranean knotted needlelace, and others.
