Does anyone else find leaves a challenge?  My newest ploy is to use long pearl beads to replace leaves in some patterns. Does anyone else have other suggestions?

This particular design is a bobbin tape lace. You would have to learn the basics of Russian tape lace: making the tape itself, how to do the various sewings, making braids with picots, leaf tallies. But I wouldn't start with this piece. There are simpler patterns to learn on.    Such as this   or   that.

This is beautiful! How hard is this to learn?
