For those who love hand made lace.
The Guild of Needle Laces is trying something different for its annual open day and AGM this year on Saturday 11th October 2014 at Harvey Road School, Harvey Road, Croxley Green, Hertfordshire, WD3 3BN from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
The theme of the day is 'A Needlelace Experience' where members of the Guild and the public can share their needlelace experience.
There will be three workshops tutored by some of our best needlelacers. The workshops will run all day and must be booked in advance.
For the first time the Guild will also stage an exhibition of various types of needlelace.
There will also be taster sessions where the public can have a go at making needlelace, a help desk to solve those problems needle lacers may have, and traders. Light refreshments are available but those attending all day should bring a packed lunch.
The requirement to hold the Annual General Meeting will be held at 10.15am for members only followed at 11.00am by the opening to members of the public and the workshops. Workshops must be booked in advance.
Tickets for the day are £4.00 and workshops £10.00. These and further details are available from Michael Dennis,
