For those who love hand made lace.
It has been quite a while since I have done any crochet work, but my group got together this past weekend to learn more on Irish Crochet. I didn't follow through with it before, but when I saw what they were going to do, I just had to go and I'm glad I did. I have finished my first Irish Crochet flower head. I had to leave for a 70th Anniversary for my Aunt and Uncle who are both in there 90's, and I couldn't miss that. I then went back in time to get started on the leave.
I have a Spanish pillow. I would like to purchase a couple of patterns on the cardboard that is used in Spain and Portugal. I have 2 of them, but no pictures of the finished laces. I have tried to buy online from a Spanish vendor, but link crashes when I try to enter my credit card info.
Are there any vendors in the US for these cardboard patterns with instructions and/or photos?
Has anyone seen the patterns in Marina Requeiro's book 'Hinojosa Lace'? $89.95 from Vansciver?
All shuttled tatted. Tried a little bit of color and some beads to change it up some.
Proud to say that this one got a 1st and a sponsor award.
Here's my 2nd of three pieces entered into the Lace event.
A simple collar or necklace - this either got a 1st or 2nd. Results were not posted yet, I'll take either. Looking forward to the judges critique.
Looks great with the contrast purple with the…

In my small town a founding families home is now a small museum. They display some of Mrs. Borst's clothing. I was thrilled to find these dresses. I was told she ordered her clothing from overseas. I know the black dress has some type of tape lace and the other piece is Irish crochet. I am not sure on the blue dress what type it is , can someone tell me? Also how old does does magazines have to be for the copyright to no longer be valid. I have several old magazines. The one I am holding in…Continue

It's done - well almost done - on April 21st is the taping of the tv program Common Sense Connecticut. I will be interviewed for 30 minutes on Lace! While it is a local tv station, once it is uploaded everyone will be able to tune in via the internet.
Does anyone have any additional questions I can give the interviewer ?? He doesn't think we could talk about lace for 30 minutes..... I told him I could talk about it for 30 days!
Thanks in advance ! I'll post the link as soon…Continue
