I am so behind yet. So much therapy and another surgery. Anyway, I started back in 1986, but I was introduced to Hardanger, Tatting and bobbin lace at the same time. I did more Hardanger first then went into the tatting, which my mother had done years ago, then I did the bobbin lace. I've done more tatting lately, but want to get back into the bobbin lace again. I have so many books that I need to put to good use...soon!
Carol, like usual I'm getting behind. I was first introduced to bobbin lace, hardanger and tatting at a convention held up in Racine, WI in 1986 or 88. The tatting was fairly easy for me and also the Hardanger. I've done a bit of the bobbin lace now, but I still have a lot to learn. I went crazy with the bookmarks first. Then did a couple larger pieces. I'm now self teaching myself as there are no instructors around here. I've been only tatting for the last year or so, but I now want to get back to doing the bobbin lace.
Hi Carol....welcome to laceioli. Will be anxious to see what you are interested in and what you just may have already been doing. I'm not as advanced as many of the others, but I am still wanting to learn.
Welcome. Please read all the NOTES. They explain our policies, and how the software works. Join any groups that interest you. The NOTES explain how to do that. Take some time to explore. Every group has a recommended book list and links to good online information. If you have any questions about this site, contact me and I'll try to help.
