My Grandmother taught me to crochet when I was about eight, I discovered bobbin lace much later and learned Torchon and Beds-Maltese in evening classes then picked up Bucks point and Honiton from books. Now coming back to lacemaking after many years I find a whole lot more types of lace on the web than I ever imagined! I use a computer (the Gimp) to print Torchon and Bucks geometric designs but Inkscape looks much more flexible.
