"I'm looking forward to the book coming, thank you for all your help. I have ambitions to make a dressing table mat with the blue flower edging but I don't know if it is going to be too big a project for me as a beginner."

Lace of Graz?

Hi there, I bought a book in German at the recent Makit Fair in Peterborough because I was so attracted to the pictures of lovely multi-coloured lace. I don't read German and although the book includes a glossary of lacemaking terms, it is obviously aimed at non-beginners because it doesn't actually explain how the lace is made/assembled.  I'm wondering if anyone could tell me? I'm guessing you have to make the elements like flowers first, and then you connect them with tapes and plaits but I'm…See More

Welcome. Please read all the NOTES. They explain our policies, and how the software works. Join any groups that interest you. We don't have a group for miniature lace, per se, but any style can be reduced to tiny scale. Take some time to explore. If you have any questions about this site, contact me and I'll try to help.
