I'm do 16th-century re-enactement, so my primary interest is in re-creating lace of the 16th and early 17th centuries.
I like re-constructing a useable pattern out of a photograph of surviving lace. Sometimes I make a useful length, for some project; more often I work enough to be sure I've understood the pattern, then move on to something else.
