"I admire you Margaret, I would never have been able to do that. My teacher has just retired and I hope I shall be able to do it alone. However, you have good friends on this site that have helped me many times. Good luck."
"Hi,Joseph. I bought a travel pillow in the Internet, but it is small, only 12inches across. I have taken it away with me but the usage is limited because of the size.
It is quite a simple construction.it is a round pillow with a normal looking pillow…"
The fan sticks have two tiny holes half way up, if I stitch it would I need to glue it as well?
I. Can't see how those two little stitches would hold it.
I am so grateful. Time is getting short for me because I hope to send it to…"
"A water soluble glue is OK to use to fix the fan leaf to the sticks, but sewing it is better, if there are a couple of tiny holes on each stick to sew through. I hope we get to see the fan - or the fan leaf, anyway! Please get a photo before…"

This did stop my pricking buckling and…"
"I'm kind of wondering what size fan your going to be making that it won't fit on a 24 inch pillow. I think the only thing I wouldn't like is how you might have to place it on the pillow. I don't like it when my…"

I hope you enjoy working this new (for you)lace. Square tallies - use the Gate method - the central passive crosses from one side to the other at the finish (ie- worker is #2 bobbin, but finishes in #3 place at the end_) but that does not really make much difference when doing Leaf tallies. If doing something like a cucumber foot - of a series of square tallies, - try to always have the central passive crossing in the same direction, as the light will catch it differently if the odd one has it going in the opposite direction! Only exception I have found is in Honiton diamond filling!
