moderately proficient lace knitter and tatter; have taught tatting. When I was seeking admission into a MBA program in 1995, the interviewer asked why I was interested in a MBA program. The first thing that popped into my head was "it was either this or learning bobbin lace." I said something else, got my degree in 1998, and FINALLY took my first lace class circa 2012 (when I joined this forum). Most of my current projects seem to be some sort of tape lace (Milanese, Russian, Schneeberger), but I'm also fond of torchon and Bucks.
