As I understand it, Cantu is a tape lace, but with some added elements that are significant. So if you are starting bobbin lace for the first time, I suggest beginning with tape lace (British English: braid lace). It has 80% of the techniques and working methods used in Cantu. Then when you find some instructions for Cantu, it will be only a moderate step up. Russian, Idrija and Schneeberger are all local variants of tape laces.
Welcome. Please read all the NOTES. They explain our policies, and how the software works. Join any groups that interest you. We do have one for CANTU. It is frustrating that there is little information in English about this style of lace. Perhaps some of our members can help you find usable instructions. Take some time to explore our site. If you have any questions about it, contact me and I'll try to help.
