Glory: I just revised my comment, and I have put the turning stitch diagrams on my website. It has a better way of displaying all of them. http://lynxlace.com/learningbobbinlace-basics.html#turningstitch
This pattern should be worked in all the stitches: cloth stitch, half stitch and double stitch (whole stitch). The CLOTH STITCH LESSON has diagrams. http://laceioli.ning.com/group/bobblinlace-beginners/forum/topics/l... I recommend that you start with cloth stitch -- ctc. The pins that are circled will require turning stitch.
The pattern was intended for learning turning stitch. In tape laces (braid laces) you sometimes have to have more pins on the outside of a curve than on the inside, to keep the tape nice and flat and smooth. Here are some diagrams to show the right side version and left side version. Basically you do a partial row and stop before getting to the pin on the inside of the curve.
Sequential diagrams for turning stitch are here.
