For those who love hand made lace.
Free patterns by any of us, or legal on the web, suitable for a beginner. Many bookmarks.
This page has the links (as well as some others). http://lynxlace.com/bobbinlacefreepatterns.html#linkstoonlinebooks
The DMC book of tape lace patterns is SECOND SERIES. And the mm pattern is from Mincoff & Marriage.
You have mentioned the DMC books(?) 42, 47 and MM99. would it be possible to publish the link to those books.

Would anyone happen to have the prickings for the American Lace Maker books by the Torchon Lace Company, circa 1904, or know where they might be posted? The digital archives at cs.arizona.edu have the books but not the prickings.
Thank you so very much for your answer and I will contact you when I am ready to print them out for the thread size. Like I said THIS IS AN AWESOME WEBSITE FOR LACE! Jane
I should add: with bobbin lace the thread size has to match the pattern size fairly well or the lace won't look right. If you can print the pattern at different sizes you can then match it to whatever thread you have. So I recommend saving the image to your computer rather than printing it out directly,.
When you get to the point of actually working one of the patterns, let me know, and I can suggest how much to reduce or enlarge it to fit the thread you have available.
Yes all these patterns can be priinted out and used. The ones from books have expired copyrights and are therefore legal to post and use. The ones drawn by our members are posted so others can use them.
Here is how:
Click on the image of the pattern that you want.
When it comes up on the screen, look below the photo for the phrase VIEW FULL SIZE.
Click on VIEW FULL SIZE.
When you get the screen with just the picture on it, right click on the picture.
A menu will appear which includes the option to "save picture as" or "print picture"
If you choose "print" you will get the original size pattern.
But if you choose "save picture as" you can then use whatever image editing software you have to print it out at different sizes.
Hi, I was wondering, if it would be okay and if it is possible to copy one of these beginner lace patterns and print it out somehow? Please let me know. Thank you Jane
