For those who love hand made lace.
Mirecourt is a part lace, usually fairly coarse in scale, often using a thick gimp worked so that it is more prominent on the front side. It is described sometimes as the French version of Bruges Bloomwork

The wrapped cords used to create Mirecourt are also used in the passementerie trimmings and tassels and in the machine made bridal laces.
Also, Mirecourt was not just one style of lace. A lot of the style that used the large, emphatic cords were produced for trimming furninture, so that lace probably was not saved when the furniture was disposed of.

Those examples above are the only ones I've seen in reality. Your neck laces are really pretty.
This technique is ideal for jewelry construction and through experimentation have found the perfect thread to use for neckwear, pendants and earrings.
