Thank you so much, Devon! I definitely have not seen this issue and will need to get in touch with someone to see if I can get a replacement issue sent.
The Spring Issue of the Bulletin has a green cover with an Irish Crochet rendition of the popular Poppy Project on it. My article about the Lace Biennale in Sansepolcro (companion to the photo essay on this site) is in the issue, as is a fascinating article about Emily Hobhouse and her work with the First Lace School in South Africa. Louise Colgan provided an account of the Australian Lace Guild National Conference. There is an article by Katie Judd about Tatting Tools, Gadgets and Homemade Doodads. Our Tatting editor, Karey Solomon has a piece about Continuous Catherine Wheels. Also there are the usual features, the calendar, book reports, and a description of the Teacher Development program and information about how to receive the information filled CD that has been compiled to help lace teachers.
Can someone tell me if the spring issue of The Bulletin came out? I was just thinking today that it has felt like a long time since I got a lace magazine. If you have the spring issue, can you share what is in there? Maybe it will trigger my memory that I did get (and now I need to find it!) or that I didn't get it and need to follow up on that. thanks....
Shemene
Thanks for the update on the sales room and display room.
thanks Shemene.
As for the notification of your processed notification. It seems in the past that we found out during May.
I should have posted my comment here. So I am going to post it again.
I was visiting the Beehive Lacers website and this is the latest update:
The open days for the public to come to the vendor and display rooms will start on Wednesday, August 7, 2013. The hours will follow the schedule posted and is tentatively listed as: Wednesday 9:30 - 1:30, 3:30 - 6:30; Thursday 11:45 - 1:15, 5:30 - 6:30; Friday 11:45 - 1:15; and the vendor room only on Saturday 9:00 - 12:00 noon. There will not be an entrance fee.
I was wondering if anyone knew when we would be notified that our registration was processed and which classes we got enrolled into.
Sign up now for IOLI Convention classes! Registration started on Feb. 1. There are two problems with waiting to sign up. You may be too late to get into the class you want because it is full. Or, the class you want will be canceled because not enough people have signed up for it by a given day. So, to optimize your experience you should commit sooner rather than later. Class description and registration information are available at the Beehive Lacers site. The dates are August 4-10 in Salt Lake City, Utah. There will be classes, lectures, vendors, trips and lots and lots of meeting people who share your interests.
