I just want to show off some tatting I did when I was doing tatting

This was about 10 years ago. If I have posted this here before somebody please let me know and I will take it down.

Ohhhh, pretty!  I would love to make some snowflakes.  I've pretty much decided that, as much as possible, Sundays after church will be for recreation (I know, I should have done it LONG ago), including my lace-making.

You have some pretty snowflakes there! Well done.

Don't give up on the tatting - it is so portable, and I always have a shuttle and bite of tatting (Bookmarks usually!) in my handbag for when I need something when I am out - like Dr. surgeries, etc!!!  It works like a charm - sit and wait, get out the tatting, do 3 stitches - and we get called in...!!!!!!!!  The Magic wand never fails!!!!!!!!  :)

I really like the little one on the left.

Lovely pieces, Claudia.

That's an excellent idea about Sunday afternoons. Recreation is so essential to a balanced life. Snowflakes are fast, easy, and useful (if you put up a Christmas tree, especially a miniature one).

Thank you! It is one of my favorites, too. I'm into picots.

Yes, the portabilitiy is a great advantage. You can put a project into a pocket and carry it anywhere. Also it attracts attention, which is kind of fun, though people do tend to confuse every kind of needlework they see with knitting. You get a lot of "My grandmother did that." As for its bringing on the call to go in, yep!

I started tatting in my teens, but a few years later, I was tatting on the bus during a group tour, and some of the older ladies on the tour were oohing and ahhing over the fact that someone my age was still doing it.  Of course, that was quite a while ago now. . .
