For those who love hand made lace.
Is the polyester hexagon netting available here in the US? I know Holly VanSciver carries the cotton netting.
Lacis has polyester, nylon, silk and cotton tulle. http://lacis.com/catalog/
Traditionally cotton net is used & is a much softer handle.
I have used the cotton net. I purchased some from "The Lacemaker". She was selling some in quarter yard cuts encluding the organdie. Since she is no longer in business I was looking for a less expensive material as I feel I am still in the learning curve. I have the video on Carrickmacross and on it she mentions using synthetic net. My local fabric store is full of net in many colors but none in the hexagon shape. I do know Van Sciver and Lacis has net. I need some to practice my fillings on as that is where I need help the most.
Try Josco Lace Suppies in Australia. She specialises in all things to do with lace & is very prompt at sending items out as well. She does have the cotton net & organdy. Good luck.
