Edna Sutton BRUGES FLOWER LACE, London, Dryad Press, 1986 She explains all the basic movements: cloth stitch, half stitch, double stitch, replacing a thread, knotted picots, leaf tallies, hanging in new pairs, various kinds of sewings, back stitch, false plait, crossing braids/tapes, windmill crossing, dividing a braid, tying off. She explains how to do all the basic flower and leaf motifs, and scrolls, used in this type of lace. 14 patterns.
J.E.H. Rombach-de-Kievid BRUGS BLOEMWERK, Terra Zutphen 1984. In Dutch, but the diagrams explain everything. 26 patterns, very graceful designs.
Vera Cockuyt THE TECHNIQUE OF BLOEMWORK, self published 1983. Explanations are mostly verbal, fewer diagrams than the previous two. 8 very traditional patterns.
