If you are not using wire, what would you use to stiffen your lace jewelry? I have tried starch but it just does not hold up well.Continue

this is my design lace Gorizia three pairs, I used wire in the special contour for jewelry, you can have several colors and is very moldable, to tighten the fitting I use starch, the dose of starch and water depends on the degree of hardness you desire

An unusual idea for a necklace. It would use only half stitch for the green part, and braids and leaf tallies for the vines.

I'm sure this has probably already been mentioned, but the lace guild has an excellent little booklet with pricking designs for lace earrings. http://www.laceguild.org/sales/pattBooks.html

Do we have photos of your 2 lace lessons? From the photos we can see what you already know and can design or suggest something you could actually make, at your current skill level.

Good idea, Julia.  I suppose the best thing is to buy your jewelry hardware first, to figure out how much space it will take up. And then you can figure out how to start and end so the hardware will help best.  Maybe some of us should try this out and post photos so Olga can see the result.

Olga, what kind of jewelry are you most interest in? Pendant, bracelet, earrings, pin?

To make a bracelet, choose a beginning pattern from the beginning bobbin tape lace patterns on this site.  Work it for about 5 inches,  when done, attach a Jewelry clamp on each end.Any pattern works.  Have fun.
